Scallion Dill Sauce    

Scallion Dill Sauce

I recently made this sauce and so many of you asked for the recipe. It is so good with salmon, but you can serve it with chicken or veggies, too.


Preparation Time: 5 minutes 

Kashrut Type: Parve 



(Recipe makes 1 cup of sauce) 


1 cup good quality mayonnaise 

2 bunches scallions (green part only), checked for bugs and thinly sliced 

1 bunch dill, checked for bugs and fronds chopped finely 

Zest and juice of 1 lemon 

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 

1 ripe avocado, flesh scooped out (optional) 

Good pinch of kosher salt 




  1. 1. In a blender or food processor, blend together mayonnaise, scallions, dill, zest, juice, extra virgin olive oil, avocado, and salt until smooth and creamy. 


  1. 2. Serve with salmon. Refrigerate extra sauce for up to 5 days.
