Author   Rabbi Chaim Kramer

The Siddur was composed by the Members of the Great Assembly through Divine Inspiration and a Spirit of Holiness. No matter how many commentaries there are on the Siddur and prayers, they cannot even come close to grasping the loftiness of the prayers.

This book explains the meaning of the prayers on a simple level. Even more so, the commentary illlustrates the reason for prayer (i.e., how uplifting it can be) and demonstrates that the greatness to which a person aspires - is attainable!

The Potency of Prayer was written because many people were confused about why we pray these specific prayers day after day, week after week, month after month, and year after year. Our Sages who composed these prayers were filled with Divine Inspiration. Their prayers covered the needs of each individual - for millenia to come - providing them with the tools of expression before Hashem. It is up to us to learn from the prayers how to form our connection with G-d, and how to eloquently express our innermost feelings before Him.
